After undergoing four brain surgeries and experiencing firsthand the complexity of neurological care, I know how important research, innovation, and the next generation of medical professionals are to patients and families navigating neurological conditions.
That is why I am establishing Na'Asiaha "Ny" Simon Neurosurgery Education and Research Award Fund at The Ohio State University.
My fundraising goal is to support students pursuing neurological research and help advance groundbreaking work that has the potential to improve the lives of individuals and families facing neurological conditions for generations to come.
This fund is bigger than my story.
It is about turning survival into service. It is about investing in students who are asking the next questions, conducting the next studies, and working toward the discoveries that could change someone's life.
On November 5, I don't simply celebrate being one year post-op. I celebrate what is possible because I'm still here.
Whether you give $20, $50, $100, or more, every contribution helps move this mission forward. I invite my family, friends, colleagues, community, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey to help me turn this milestone into a movement.
Together, we can invest in research, empower future healthcare leaders, and create hope for the patients who come next.
